CSGO: G2, Team Spirit move to semifinals of BLAST Bounty Spring event

G2 Esports and Team Spirit advanced to the semifinals of the BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 event on Tuesday in Copenhagen, Denmark.

G2 swept BetBoom Team 2-0 and Team Spirit did the same to HEROIC to reach the round of four. Their next opponents won’t be determined until Friday, as the teams will be re-seeded between rounds.

The first Valve Tier 1 event of the new year features eight teams in a single-elimination bracket. The quarterfinals and semifinals are best-of-three and the grand final will be a best-of-five format. Participating teams are competing for a $500,000 prize pool.

G2 Esports dominated BetBoom 13-2 on Anubis and 13-3 on Dust II. Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov of Russia led the way for G2 with 36 kills and a plus-21 kills-to-deaths differential. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Nemanja “huNter-” Kovac (plus-14) and Israel’s Nikita “HeavyGod” Martynenko (plus-13) added 28 kills apiece.

Russian Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov had 24 kills to pace BetBoom.

Meanwhile, Team Spirit beat HEROIC 13-11 on Anubis and 13-3 on Nuke. Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov of Russia guided Spirit with 39 kills and a plus-20 K-D, while countrymen Danil “donk” Kryshkovets (34 kills, plus-7) and Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov (31 kills, plus-11) also had strong days.

Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia of Spain had 35 kills and a plus-10 for HEROIC in defeat.
