CSGO: ESL reveals 11 teams invited to $250k IEM Rio 2024

ESL revealed the 11 teams who have received direct invitations to IEM Rio 2024, which will begin Oct. 7 with a full field of 16 teams.

RIO INVITES

–FaZe Clan (Partner team)
–G2 Esports (Partner team)
–MOUZ (Partner team)
–Natus Vincere (Partner team)
–Team Vitality (Partner team)
–FURIA (Local Hero Invite)
–9z Globant (ESL World Ranking Global)
–Complexity (ESL World Ranking Global)
–The MongolZ (ESL World Ranking Global)
–Virtus.pro (ESL World Ranking Global)

The remaining five spots will be determined through the Regional Open and Closed Qualifiers that began Tuesday and will run through Sept. 1.

EUROPEAN QUALIFIERS
Open Qualifier #1: August 14-15
Open Qualifier #2: August 18-19
Closed Qualifier: August 26-28
*The winner and runner-up qualify for IEM Rio 2024

NORTH AMERICAN QUALIFIERS
Open Qualifier #1: August 14-15
Open Qualifier #2: August 18-19
Closed Qualifier: August 31-September 1
*The winner qualifies for IEM Rio 2024

SOUTH AMERICAN QUALIFIERS
Open Qualifier #1: July 23-24
Open Qualifier #2: July 25-26
Closed Qualifier: July 28-29

ASIAN QUALIFIERS
Open Qualifier #1: July 26-27
Open Qualifier #2: July 28-29
Closed Qualifier: August 1-2

IEM Rio 2024 features a $250,000 prize pool as teams vie to qualify for the $1 million Intel Grand Slam V. The final three days of the competition Oct. 11-13 will see the final six teams competing live at the Farmasi Arena.

ESL also revealed the 14 teams who have received invites to the 28-team $150,000 ESL Impact League Season 6.

The finals will take place Nov. 22-24 in front of a live audience at DreamHack Stockholm in Sweden.
