OpTic Texas cruised to a 3-0 sweep of the Seattle Surge on Saturday to remain undefeated in qualifying action for the Call of Duty League’s Major V.

Texas dominated throughout, winning 250-196 on Zarqwa Hydroelectric Hardpoint, 6-4 on Breenbergh Hotel Hardpoint and 3-1 on Breenbergh Hotel Control to improve to 3-0 in qualifying. The Boston Breach and Toronto Ultra are also undefeated, but each squad has only played two matches.

Three of OpTic’s four players finished with at least 50 kills, with the United States’ Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro leading the way with 57. Fellow American Lamar “Accuracy” Abedi paced the Surge with 52 kills and a plus-1.11 kills-deaths ratio.

Major V qualifying, which includes all 12 Call of Duty League teams, runs through May 21, with each victory worth 10 CDL points. Double elimination bracket play is scheduled for May 25-28 in Toronto, with the championship team receiving $200,000 from the $500,000 prize pool plus 65 CDL points.

Saturday’s other three matches were Bounty Matches, where the winners were awarded an extra $10,000. In one of those contests, the Florida Mutineers picked up a 3-1 win over the Thieves to keep Los Angeles winless in qualifying.

After the Mutineers and Thieves split the first two maps, Florida won 3-0 on Himmelmatt Expo Control and earned a 250-128 victory on Al Bagra Fortress Hardpoint to drop Los Angeles to 0-3. The Thieves are one of three teams in qualifying that have not yet been able to scratch out a win.

Spain’s Javier “Vikul” Milagro posted 89 kills and a plus-1.31 ratio for Florida, which saw all four its players finish with positive K-D differentials. Dylan “Envoy” Hannon led the all-American Los Angeles squad with a team-high 69 kills.

In other action Saturday, the New York Subliners swept another Los Angeles team, the Guerrillas, while the Atlanta FaZe bested the London Royal Ravens 3-1.

New York opened with 250-180 win on Embassy Hardpoint before prevailing 6-5 on Breenbergh Hotel Search & Destroy and clinching on Himmelmatt Expo Control, 3-0.

The FaZe won on Mercado Las Almas Hardpoint (250-145) and El Asilo Search & Destroy (6-4) before the Guerrillas cut their deficit with a 3-2 victory on Breenbergh Hotel Control. But Atlanta put the match away with a 250-74 blowout on Embassy Hardpoint.
