Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov each registered a goal and an assist to guide the visiting Carolina Hurricanes to a 4-1 victory over the winless Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday.

Mark Jankowski added a late tally to extend his goal streak to four games for the Hurricanes, who have won five straight since losing their first two. Pyotr Kochetkov made 18 saves for Carolina, which improved to 4-0 on the road.

Christian Dvorak scored the only goal for Philadelphia, which fell to 0-5-2. The Flyers already have lost twice at home to the Hurricanes and have dropped 11 straight games overall, including six to Carolina, which includes the Canes’ playoff sweep last spring.

Kochetkov improved to 3-0-0 (including two wins against the Flyers) and raised his lifetime mark against Philadelphia to 8-1-0.

Joseph Woll made 26 saves for Philadelphia. The Flyers have been outscored 28-8 during the disastrous start to their campaign.

After a scoreless first period, the teams combined for four goals in the second period, all in a seven-minute stretch.

At 10:16 of the middle session, Svechnikov scored his fourth of the season to put the visitors ahead 1-0. Following a turnover by the Flyers, the Russian winger skated in with space and sniped one past Woll from the left circle.

Shortly thereafter, Shayne Gostisbehere made it 2-0 off a beautiful setup by Aho.

Dvorak got the Flyers on the board less than two minutes later, as he got a piece of Nick Seeler’s shot from the point.

However, Philadelphia’s momentum didn’t last long, as William Carrier attracted three defenders and found Aho for a quick shot from the right circle less than two minutes after the Dvorak tally. Aho leads Carolina with a league-high-tying six goals.

Carrier finished with two assists.

Kochetkov’s shoulder stop on Noah Cates about six minutes into the third period was among his best saves of the night.
