The Alabama Crimson Tide have been hit with a few injuries this week, as head coach Nick Saban announced that sophomore linebacker Drew Sanders is expected to miss Saturday’s contest with Texas A&M after hand surgery.

“He has a hand injury,” Saban said. “It was maybe a little worse than we thought, so he’s going to be game-to-game here for a few weeks.”

That news comes on the heels of Saban announcing Monday that running back Jase McClellan would be out for the season following a knee injury sustained against Ole Miss.

Sanders, who stepped into a starting role after fellow linebacker Christopher Allen was lost for the season in Week 1 against Miami, has recorded 20 tackles this season to go along with four quarterback hurries, which is tied for the team lead.

McClellan was Alabama’s second-leading rusher with 191 yards, and he also had 10 catches for 97 yards and three TDs.
