Luis Perez threw for 206 yards and two scores, as the Arlington Renegades reeled off the final three touchdowns to claim a 30-12 win over the host Memphis Showboats on Saturday.

The Showboats (2-7) forged the game’s first tie when Matt Coghlin booted a 29-yard field goal to make it 12-12 with 5:16 left in the third quarter.

Perez responded for the Renegades (4-5) by completing a 41-yard bomb to Tyler Vaughns for the go-ahead score with 57 seconds to go in the third. JaVonta Payton capped the next drive with a 15-yard sprint around left end to push the lead to 24-12 in the fourth. Perez clinched matters with his 24-yard scoring strike to Deontay Burnett with 2:27 to play.

Vaughns caught eight passes for 107 yards and a touchdown, while Dae Dae Hunter added 67 rushing yards for Arlington, which has been eliminated from playoff contention.

For Memphis, E.J. Perry completed five of 11 for 89 yards before being replaced by Dresser Winn, who hit 7-of-16 passes for 83 yards and one interception. Isaiah Washington caught three passes for 54 yards for the Showboats, who were outgained 336-173.
