Lorenzo Lingard rushed for one touchdown, and Chris Blewitt kicked two field goals to help the Houston Roughnecks beat the Michigan Panthers 19-12 in their Week 10 matchup on Saturday in Detroit.

Lingard finished with 30 rushing yards on 11 carries, posting the game’s first score — on a 1-yard run in the first quarter to give Houston (5-5) a lead it would not relinquish.

Blewitt’s field goals came from 43 and 20 yards. Roughnecks quarterback Jalan McClendon completed 17 of 31 passes for 193 yards.

For Michigan (6-4), Nate McCrary rushed for a game-high 68 yards on 12 carries. Between their two quarterbacks (Danny Etling, Rocky Lombardi), the Panthers mustered only 124 passing yards and threw two interceptions.

Nevertheless, the Panthers are set to play in the USFL Conference Championship Game on June 8th.
