Brendan Allen defeated Paul Craig by submission in the third round of their middleweight bout, the main event on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Allen submitted Craig with a rear naked choke 38 seconds into the round. It was Allen’s fourth straight win by rear naked choke.

Allen improved to 23-5. Craig fell to 17-7-1.

“I’m trying to fight, man. I want the No. 1 contender,” Allen said during his post-fight interview. “I’m the best in the world and I’m here to prove it. If you say otherwise, come show me, don’t tell me.”

Allen had been dominating the fight to that point, landing 52 strikes to Craig’s 13. He led significant strikes 32-6.

“I’m a man of my word,” Allen said of his performance. “I need a No. 1 contender shot. I think I’ve deserved it. I’ve earned it. I’ve beat everyone they put in front of me. I’ve finished them.”
