The PGA Tour confirmed on Friday that 2026 will be the final year that Farmers Insurance serves as the title sponsor of the Torrey Pines tournament, which will be held Jan. 29-Feb. 1 in San Diego.

Farmers has been the title sponsor of the event since 2010, extending what initially was a one-year agreement into a 17-year run. Despite continuing to serve as a sponsor for TGL, Farmers is getting out of the major golf tournament sponsorship business.

“Farmers Insurance has been a tremendous sponsor of the PGA Tour, and we cannot thank them enough for their support of the Farmers Insurance Open over the last 17 years,” the tour said in a statement.

According to the Century Club, $20 millions in charitable donations have been distributed during the Farmers era, per a Golf.com report. Another $5 million of in-kind contributions have been made along with 12,000 of volunteer time served.

“The tournament has generated millions of dollars for charity and delighted golf fans in San Diego and beyond,” the company said in a statement. “As our sponsorship comes to an end, we celebrate everything we’ve accomplished and wish the PGA Tour and the Century Club of San Diego continued success.”

Torrey Pines is one of five regular tour stops whose title sponsorship contracts expire this year. The others ar the Sony Open at Waialae in Hawaii, the Genesis Invitational at Riviera in Los Angeles, the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial in Fort Worth and the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield in Greensboro, N.C.

No new sponsors have yet been announced for any of those events.

Harris English will be the defending champion at this year’s Farmers, with a field that currently includes 22 of the top 50 players in the world rankings.
