OVERWATCH: Weibo, T1 extend stays at Overwatch Champions Series World Finals

Weibo Gaming and T1 each won two lower-bracket matches on Friday to stay alive at the Overwatch Champions Series 2025 World Finals in Stockholm.

Weibo posted a pair of sweeps, 2-0 over Team CC and 3-0 over Spacestation Gaming. T1 edged Geekay Esports 2-1, then trounced Team Liquid 3-0.

Twelve teams are competing for a crowd-funded prize pool at the double-elimination Overwatch 2 event. The best-of-seven grand final takes place on Sunday.

On Friday, Weibo Gaming downed Team CC 2-1 on Ilios Control and 3-1 on Shambali Monastery Escort, then topped Spacestation Gaming 2-0 on Ilios Control, 1-0 on Shambali Monastery Escort and 3-2 on King’s Row Hybrid.

T1 opened with a 2-0 victory on Ilios Control before Geekay Esports took New Junk City Flashpoint 3-1. T1 wrapped up the series with a 4-3 win on King’s Row Hybrid. Against Team Liquid, T1 prevailed 2-0 on Nepal Control, 3-1 on New Junk City Flashpoint and 4-3 on Shambali Monastery Escort.

In the other lower-bracket first-round matches, Team Liquid took out Team Peps 2-0, and Spacestation Gaming got past VARREL 2-0.
