The Florida Mayhem parted ways with DPS Jun-ki “Yaki” Kim on Friday.

Yaki previously was the lone remaining member of the roster following a complete overhaul earlier this month. The Mayhem released six players on Oct. 2 and saw head coach Dae-kuk “Kuki” Kim leave the team on Oct. 13.

Yaki, a 20-year-old South Korean, previously competed with MVP Space, XL2 Academy and Korean Overwatch team RunAway before joining the Mayhem in November 2019.

“He’s been an absolute stud for us the past two seasons,” said Albert Yeh, vice president of esports operations for the Mayhem. “When I discussed next season plans with Yaki, his number one priority was being on a Korean roster. I never want to force a player into a situation they wouldn’t be happy with and we were able to send him to his #1 option.”

The Mayhem hired Jordan “Gunba” Graham as their head coach on Oct. 18.
