Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach will miss four-to-six weeks due to a fractured foot, the team announced on Sunday.

Dach sustained the injury during Montreal’s 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins on Saturday.

He is the latest in a string of Canadiens players who have sustained significant injuries. Alex Newhook (ankle) is out four months, fellow forward Patrik Laine (core muscle surgery) is out three-to-four months and defenseman Kaiden Guhle (adductor muscle) is out 8-to-10 weeks.

Dach, 24, has recorded seven points (five goals, two assists) in 15 games this season.

Forward Joshua Roy, 22, was recalled from Laval of the American Hockey League to replace Dach.

Dach has scored 128 points (48 goals, 80 assists) in 284 career games with the Canadiens and Chicago Blackhawks. He missed a total of 129 games over the past three regular seasons due to a series of injuries.

He was selected by the Blackhawks with the third overall pick of the 2019 NHL Draft.
