NHL: Bruins sign D Mason Lohrei to 2-year extension

The Boston Bruins on Monday signed defenseman Mason Lohrei to a two-year, $6.4 million contract extension through the 2026-27 season.

The 24-year-old Louisiana native was selected by the Bruins in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft and was due to become a restricted free agent in July.

Lohrei appeared in 77 games in 2024-25 and registered 33 points (five goals, 28 assists). He was second on the Bruins in power-play points (16) and fourth in blocks (103).

He has 46 points (nine goals, 37 assists) and 34 penalty minutes in 118 career games since making his NHL debut in November 2023.
