Mike McCarthy will interview for the Titans’ head coaching job on Saturday in Tennessee, ESPN reported Thursday.

The former Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers head coach was out of the league during the 2025 season.

McCarthy, 62, was 49-35 in five seasons in Dallas (2020-24) after going 125-77-2 in 13 seasons in Green Bay (2006-18). His teams are 11-11 in the playoffs, including the Packers’ 31-25 victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV in the 2010 season.

The Cowboys posted three consecutive 12-5 seasons under McCarthy from 2021-23 but were just 1-3 in the playoffs. He was fired after a 7-10 season in 2024.

McCarthy was expected to interview with the New York Giants before they landed on John Harbaugh to replace Brian Daboll.

The Titans have posted consecutive 3-14 seasons. They fired Brian Callahan after a 1-5 start this season and were 2-9 under interim coach Mike McCoy.
