The New York Giants plan to hire former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale to fill the same position, NFL Network said Tuesday.

Martindale, 58, and former Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Sean Desai reportedly were the finalists to replace Patrick Graham, now the defensive coordinator of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Martindale oversaw the defense in Baltimore for the past four seasons. Starting in 2004, he spent five seasons as the Raiders’ linebackers coach before serving as the Denver Broncos’ linebackers coach in 2009 and their defensive coordinator the following year.

Martindale also was Baltimore’s linebackers coach from 2012-17. The Ravens fired Martindale on Jan. 21.
