The Las Vegas Raiders signed free agent cornerback Desmond Trufant on Wednesday.

A 2013 first-round pick by Atlanta and a 2015 Pro Bowl selection, Trufant was released last week by New Orleans.

He played in the first two games this season for the Saints, posting three tackles and one pass breakup.

Trufant, 31, has 352 tackles, 14 interceptions, seven fumble recoveries and six sacks in 105 games (103 starts) with the Falcons (2013-19), Detroit Lions (2020) and Saints.

With Trufant signed to the active 53-man roster, the Raiders placed safety Roderick Teamer on injured reserve in a corresponding transaction. Cornerbacks Damon Arnette and Trayvon Mullen Jr. are already on IR.

Las Vegas (4-2) hosts the Philadelphia Eagles (2-4) on Sunday afternoon.
