The Jacksonville Jaguars traded wide receiver Laviska Shenault to the Carolina Panthers on Monday.

Jacksonville will receive “undisclosed draft compensation,” according to the Panthers.

Shenault, 23, was a second-round pick by the Jaguars in the 2020 draft. His 58 receptions as a rookie led the team, and he totaled 600 yards and five touchdowns across 14 games (12 starts). In 2021, he caught 63 passes for 619 yards without a touchdown.

The Jaguars added Christian Kirk and Zay Jones via free agency and decided to move on from Shenault. The Panthers were reportedly interested in New York Jets wide receiver Denzel Mims as a trade candidate before Monday’s reported deal.

Shenault has two years left on his rookie contract.
