The New York Jets lost quarterback Tyrod Taylor in the first quarter of Sunday’s home game against the Miami Dolphins when he suffered a groin injury.

Taylor was deemed doubtful to return. He exited the game after throwing an interception to linebacker Tyrel Dodson on the Jets’ second drive.

Taylor made his third consecutive start for the injured Justin Fields, and completed one pass on four attempts for six yards before leaving the game.

Undrafted rookie Brady Cook replaced Taylor and has played since.

The Dolphins, meanwhile, lost running back De’Von Achane to a rib injury.

Achane ran for 92 yards and a touchdown on seven carries and caught one pass for 13 yards before exiting with 7:10 left in the second quarter.

Also for the Jets, defensive lineman Tyler Baron (knee) is out for the game while for the Dolphins, safety Elijah Campbell (knee, ankle) and linebacker Caleb Johnson (shoulder) are out.
