Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy and Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn were among the current NFL assistant coaches on the initial list of interview requests made by the Denver Broncos, according to reports.

Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and New England Patriots linebackers coach Jerod Mayo also received requests to interview with the Broncos, as did Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.

Vic Fangio was fired as of the head coach of the Broncos on Sunday morning.

Bieniemy is a well-known commodity in Colorado. He starred as a running back at Colorado and helps orchestrate the offense of division rival Kansas City.

Quinn, previously head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, helped resurrect the Dallas defense in his first season with the Cowboys.

Mayo played for Bill Belichick and New England from 2008-15 and has spent three seasons as an assistant coach.

The Broncos went 7-10 and lost four games in a row to end the 2021 season, the first campaign with George Paton as general manager.

Among questions for the team this offseason are how to fix the quarterback position.

Denver acquired Teddy Bridgewater to compete with Drew Lock prior to last season. Bridgewater won the competition but missed the last three games after a head injury.
