Texas suspended freshman defensive back Ishmael Ibraheem from team activities after a warrant for his arrest was issued in Oklahoma.
State police in Oklahoma filed a charge of nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images, a misdemeanor, and issued the warrant last Friday, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
An Oklahoma State student told police she was sent a screenshot of a video posted to TikTok that showed her engaging in consensual sex over the summer with Ibraheem. She did not agree share the video, the newspaper said, and following an investigation, Ibraheem was charged under Oklahoma’s revenge porn laws.
In a statement to the newspaper, Texas officials said they knew of the allegations in September and cooperated as the investigation went forward.
“In light of the new information and his recent charges, he has been suspended from all team activities at this time as we continue to monitor the legal process,” the statement read, in part.
Ibraheem, a Dallas native, played in one game on the season. He sustained a season-ending knee injury in the Longhorns’ 58-0 win over Rice.
He was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2021.
