Ohio State and two-time All-Big Ten forward E.J. Liddell announced Friday that he will forgo his final season of eligibility and declare for the 2022 NBA Draft.

Liddell, 21, plans to hire an agent.

“I will cherish the time and commitment of Buckeye Nation,” Liddell’s Twitter post read, in part. “I hope the feeling is mutual! With that, I’d like to announce that I will be hiring an agent and entering the 2022 NBA Draft.”

The 6-foot-7 junior scored a career-high 19.4 points per game in 2021-22 to go with 7.9 rebounds. He leaves Columbus, Ohio, with averages of 14.1 points and 6.1 rebounds in 92 career games (61 starts).

Liddell projects to be a mid- first-round pick in the June 23 draft.
