Timmy Allen and Marcus Carr scored 13 points each to lead No. 6 Texas to a come-from-behind 70-69 victory over Oklahoma on Saturday in Norman, Okla.

With the game tight late, the Longhorns turned to Carr and Sir’Jabari Rice. Rice scored all 11 of his points in the final six minutes, going 7-for-7 at the free-throw line.

With the game tied in the final minute, Carr hit a fadeaway hook to put the Longhorns up 64-62. Rice then grabbed a rebound off Milos Uzan’s missed 3-pointer and followed with a pair of free throws to make it a two-possession game.

Texas (12-1, 1-0 Big 12) was 15-for-16 at the free-throw line, making all six attempts in the final 50 seconds to put the game away.

The Longhorns trailed by three with just more than two minutes remaining when Rice’s pump-fake near the corner helped him draw a foul on the Sooners’ Jacob Groves, sending Rice to the line for three free throws.

Dylan Disu, returning after missing a game with a knee injury, had 10 points and three blocks in the win.

Grant Sherfield set the tone early for the Sooners with 16 first-half points.

Oklahoma used a 17-5 run late in the first half to jump ahead by seven just before halftime, with nine points from Sherfield during the stretch.

The Sooners made their final five shots before halftime to lead 35-31 at the break.

But after making its first two shots in the second half, Oklahoma went cold from the floor, going eight minutes without a field goal.

The Sooners (9-4, 0-1) missed eight consecutive shots during the Longhorns’ 10-1 run that gave Texas its first lead of the second half.

Sherfield led all scorers with 22 points, going 9 of 19 from the floor but just 1 of 7 from beyond the arc.

Groves added 17 points, going 5-for-9 on 3-point tries, and Jalen Hill scored 14. All of Groves’ 3-pointers came in the second half.
