Houston guard Tramon Mark underwent shoulder surgery Wednesday morning and will miss the rest of the season, the school announced.
Mark, a sophomore, had been bothered by the injury since the preseason and missed the first three games of the season. He played six games and aggravated the injury in an 83-82 loss to Alabama on Dec. 11.
He is one of four members of the No. 13-ranked Cougars to average double figures in scoring with 10.5 points per game. He had a season-high 22 points on Dec. 3 against Bryant, followed by 18 three days later against Alcorn State.
Mark also contributed 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
The 6-foot-5 Mark is expected to return for the 2022-23 season, the school said.
Houston (10-2) is scheduled to host Texas State (9-2) on Wednesday night.
