CF Montreal and host Orlando City each extended their unbeaten streaks, playing to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.

Orlando (12-8-10, 46 points) earned at least a point for the fourth straight game while Montreal (11-10-9, 42 points) has points in each of its past three.

Chris Mueller scored for Orlando just before halftime, and Montreal defender Rudy Camacho leveled it early in the second half.

It was a slow first few minutes for Orlando, but the home side found its legs following a free kick in the sixth minute and two ensuing corners in the minutes thereafter, dominating the play in the attacking third.

After a chance from Benji Michel rolled left of the net, Junior Urso hit the crossbar in the 13th minute. Five minutes later, Michel weaved his way through Montreal’s defense to get to the goal area but couldn’t get a shot off as the visitors stayed tight on the striker.

A speeding Michel took a pass from Mauricio Pereyra in the 29th minute and drove towards the net on a breakaway but Montreal goalkeeper James Pantemis came way out of the box to snare the ball before Michel could strike. Moments later, Daryl Dike sent a header just over the bar.

In the 35th minute, Pereyra turned on the jets for a chance but Montreal defender Rudy Camacho got a perfectly-timed foot on the ball as Pereyra approached to knock the ball away.

Mueller scored his first goal since July 3 to give the Lions a 1-0 lead in the 45th minute. Mueller, uncovered just above the left side of the goal area, took a cross from Ruan for the easy tap-in.

Orlando had eight shot attempts in the first half. Montreal had zero.

The visitors came close to leveling the score in the 48th minute when Sunusi Ibrahim, fresh off the bench for the second half, was denied on the doorstep by a point-blank stop by Orlando goalkeeper Pedro Gallese, getting a tip of the ball with his outstretched hand.

Camacho’s header off a corner tied it 1-1 in the 51st minute.
