Will Bruin is retiring after 13 MLS seasons.

Bruin, a striker, played for the Houston Dynamo FC (2011-16), Seattle Sounders FC (2017-22) and Austin FC (2023).

“When I started this journey, I never thought I’d play 13 professional years,” Bruin posted to social media on Friday. “I have come across so many great people throughout my career — teammates, coaching staff, support staff, front office and so many others behind the scenes.”

He added: “Soccer has given my family and I so much and I am excited to give back to the game in whatever comes next.”

Bruin, 34, appeared in 329 matches (228 starts) and tallied 80 goals and 34 assists. He won the MLS Cup in 2019 and Concacaf Champions Cup in 2022, both with the Sounders.

The St. Louis native also earned two caps with the U.S. men’s national team in 2013.
