Griffin Dorsey scored in the first minute of second-half stoppage time to give the visiting Houston Dynamo a 3-3 draw with the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night.

Dorsey, who also had an assist, booted a right-footed shot from outside the box that glanced off defender Dave Romney and went into the right corner of the net for the equalizer, capping a wild second half that featured five goals.

Ezequiel Ponce and Felipe Andrade also scored goals for Houston (4-6-5, 17 points) while Jonathan Bond made five saves.

Preston Judd scored a brace and Daniel Munie also scored for San Jose, which found the net three times over a 10-minute span midway through the second half to take a 3-2 lead.

Ian Harkes had two assists for the Earthquakes (5-6-4, 19 points), who extended their unbeaten streak to seven games (4-0-3) in all competitions.

Ponce gave Houston a 1-0 lead in the 31st minute when he got free by the far left post and headed in a cross from Dorsey for his fourth goal of the season. Dorsey picked up his sixth assist on the play.

Andrade made it 2-0 in the 50th minute when he bounced in another header inside the left post off a Ondrej Lingr cross.

Judd, who came on as a substitute for Hernan Lopez in the 64th minute, then started the San Jose comeback two minutes later with a right-footed redirect of a DeJuan Jones pass inside the right post.

Judd then tied it at 2-2 in the 72nd minute when he flicked in a header from the middle of the box inside the left post off a Hawkes cross.

Munie then gave the Earthquakes a 3-2 lead in the 76th minute with a diving header in the middle of the box into the right corner off another Hawkes cross.
