MLS: Atlanta United acquire Inter Miami F Leo Afonso

Atlanta United acquired forward Leo Afonso in a trade with Inter Miami, both teams announced on Sunday.

Atlanta also receives $225,000 in general allocation money from Miami in exchange for an international roster slot and $50,000 in conditional GAM.

Afonso, 24, recorded two goals in 14 MLS matches (two starts) with the Herons during the 2024-25 seasons.

The Brazilian international joined Inter Miami as a second-round pick (32nd overall) in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft.
