The Chicago White Sox claimed infielder Vinny Capra off waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday.

Capra, 28, was designated for assignment by the Brewers last week and will move into Chicago’s open 40-man roster spot, with an additional move needed to get him onto the active roster.

Capra was just 4-for-54 (.074) in 24 games this season before he was cut loose by Milwaukee. In parts of four major league seasons, Capra is a career .105 hitter with one home run and five RBIs in 44 games.
