MLB: Report: Cubs reach deal with reliever Jacob Webb

The Chicago Cubs are in agreement with reliever Jacob Webb on a one-year deal, The Athletic reported Tuesday.

The deal with the 32-year-old right-hander includes a club option for 2026. Financial terms were not reported.

Webb went 5-4 with a 3.00 ERA and one save in 55 relief appearances for the Texas Rangers in 2025, striking out 58 batters in 66 innings.

He is 17-14 with a 2.99 ERA and seven saves in 247 career games (no starts) for the Atlanta Braves (2019-21), Los Angeles Angels (2023), Baltimore Orioles (2023-24) and Rangers.
