The Texas Rangers agreed on a one-year contract with left-hander Patrick Corbin on Tuesday, with the New York Post reporting the contract is worth just more than $1 million plus incentives.

To make room on the 40-man roster, Texas placed right-hander Jon Gray on the 60-day injured list with a right forearm fracture.

Corbin, 35, went 6-13 with a 5.62 ERA in 32 starts for the Washington Nationals last season to complete a six-year, $140 million contract.

In 12 major league seasons, Corbin has gone 103-131 with a 4.51 ERA in 342 outings (324 starts) for the Arizona Diamondbacks (2012-18) and Nationals. The two-time All-Star finished as high as fifth in the National League Cy Young Award voting in 2018.

Corbin was the winning pitcher in the deciding Game 7 of the 2019 World Series as the Nationals got past the Houston Astros to win the franchise’s only title.
