MLB: Phillies home opener vs. Reds postponed to Friday

Thursday’s game between the host Philadelphia Phillies and Cincinnati Reds has been postponed to Friday due to an “uncertain forecast.”

Philadelphia’s home opener is now scheduled for Friday afternoon at 3:05 p.m. ET.

“After consultation with Major League Baseball and the uncertain forecast tomorrow between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m., we have elected to move our home opener with the Reds to Friday,” said Phillies executive vice president David Buck.

It’ll be the second straight postponement for the Reds, who were rained out Wednesday at home against the Chicago Cubs.

The Phillies are 1-5 and the Reds 3-2.
