Julio Urias tossed five scoreless innings and Freddie Freeman homered and doubled twice as the Los Angeles Dodgers completed a three-game sweep of the visiting Oakland Athletics with an 8-2 victory on Thursday.

Amed Rosario and Miguel Rojas each drove in two runs for the Dodgers, who outscored the A’s 25-6 in the series. Urias (8-6) allowed three hits and one walk while striking out five.

Emmet Sheehan recorded his first career save after allowing two runs over the final four innings.

Rookies Zack Gelof and Tyler Soderstrom each hit a solo homer for Oakland, which has lost four straight to fall a season-worst 50 games under .500.

The Dodgers claimed an early lead against JP Sears (2-8) on back-to-back doubles by Enrique Hernandez and Rojas to begin the second inning.

Rojas added an RBI double with two outs in the third inning for Los Angeles, which outhit Oakland 14-5.

Urias was lifted after striking out the side in the fifth inning. Sheehan entered and allowed Gelof’s one-out homer in the sixth. The 364-foot shot was Gelof’s second of the series and fifth in his first 17 major league games.

Los Angeles responded with four runs on six hits in the bottom of the sixth inning against A’s reliever Lucas Erceg.

After Austin Barnes and Mookie Betts singled to begin the inning, Will Smith drove in a run with a one-out single to center. Rosario followed with a two-run double, and pinch hitter David Peralta added a run-scoring single.

Soderstrom’s one-out homer in the eighth cut Oakland’s deficit to 6-2 before Freeman led off the bottom half of the inning with a home run off Zach Neal. The Dodgers added another run later in the inning on Chris Taylor’s two-out RBI single.

Sears allowed two runs on six hits over five innings for Oakland, which never led in the three-game series and was swept for the 15th time this season.
