The Arizona Diamondbacks and shortstop Geraldo Perdomo agreed to a four-year contract extension.

While the team announced the contract on Tuesday, no financial details were released.

The deal is worth $45 million, ESPN and MLB.com reported Monday. It will take effect in the 2026 season and features a club option for 2030, the reports said.

Perdomo, 25, was an All-Star in 2023 and followed that up with a strong 2024 campaign, though he missed over nine weeks early in the season due to knee surgery.

Perdomo batted a career-best .273 with three home runs, 21 doubles, 37 RBIs and 61 runs in 98 games in 2024. He is a career .235 hitter with 14 homers, 54 doubles, 125 RBIs and 195 runs in 401 games for Arizona from 2021-24.

The Dominican Republic native also led the major leagues in sacrifice bunts in 2022 (12) and 2023 (14).
