Steele, 29, is 3-1 with a 4.76 ERA in four starts this season.

An All-Star in 2023, Steele owns a 32-22 record with a 3.30 ERA in 102 career games (91 starts) with Chicago.

Right-hander Ethan Roberts was recalled from Triple-A Iowa, where he has allowed four hits over 4 1/3 scoreless innings this season.

Roberts, 27, is 1-2 with a 4.72 ERA in 30 career relief appearances with the Cubs.
