MLB: Braves place RHP Daysbel Hernandez (shoulder) on IL

The Atlanta Braves placed right-handed reliever Daysbel Hernandez on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to Tuesday, with right shoulder inflammation.

In a corresponding move, right-hander Hunter Stratton was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Hernandez, 28, has gone 4-3 with a 3.41 ERA in 39 relief appearances this season. Over three seasons for the Braves he is 8-3 with a 3.38 ERA in 59 relief appearances.

Stratton, 28, made six relief appearances for the Braves earlier this season after he was acquired in a July 1 trade with the Pittsburgh Pirates, going 0-1 with a 1.86 ERA.

In three major league seasons for the Pirates (2023-25) and Braves, he is 2-2 with a 3.92 ERA in 53 relief appearances.
