The Atlanta Braves activated All-Star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. from the 10-day injured list on Friday.

He landed on the IL with a right calf strain on July 30, the day after exiting early in a 9-6 loss at Kansas City.

Acuna, 27, said he sustained the injury earlier in that series while scoring from first base on Austin Riley’s double.

Acuna is slashing .306/.429/.577 with 14 home runs and 26 RBIs in 55 games this season. The 2023 National League MVP was selected to the All-Star Team for the fifth time this year.

The Braves outrighted catcher Sandy Leon to Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding transaction.

Leon, 36, appeared in two games this season for Atlanta, striking out in his only plate appearance.
