LOL: Gumayusi powers T1 past KT Rolster at World Championship

T1 overcame a late one-game deficit to record a 3-2 victory over KT Rolster on Sunday in the grand final at the $5 million League of Legends 2025 World Championship in Chengdu, China.

South Korean Min-hyung “Gumayusi” Lee was the Finals MVP for T1, who won the first game before dropping the next two to be pushed to brink of elimination. Undaunted, T1 captured the next two games to earn the $1 million top prize.

The 17-team tourney began in Beijing with the Swiss Stage on Oct. 14. Eight teams reached the Knockout Stage in Shanghai, a single-elimination bracket in which all matches are best-of-five.

3-4. $400,000 — Gen.G Esports, Top Esports
5-8. $300,000 — Anyone’s Legend, Hanwha Life Esports, CTBC Flying Oyster, G2 Esports
9-11. $175,000 — FlyQuest, KOI, Bilibili Gaming
12-14. $125,000 — Secret Whales, Keyd Stars, 100 Thieves
15-16. $112,500 — Fnatic, PSG Talon
17. $75,000 — Invictus Gaming
