Evil Geniuses announced the addition of support Phillipe “Vulcan” Laflamme from Cloud 9 while also promoting mid laner Joseph “Jojopyun” Pyun from the organization’s Academy League roster.

Vulcan, 22, leaves after two years with Cloud9 to replace Dong-geun “IgNar” Lee on EG’s roster. He is fresh off a run to the 2021 World Championship along with winning the LCS Mid-Season Showdown.

Jojopyun will fill the spot of Daniele “Jiizuke” Di Mauro, who parted ways with the team. He and AD carry Danny will now have the veteran presence of Vulcan.

Jojopyun, 17, helped the Academy qualify for the 2021 Academy Summer Playoffs.

“Forged from the depths of Evil, delivered to the mid lane for battle. We can’t wait to dominate the #LCS with you, @jojopyunlol,” the team tweeted Tuesday night.

Before the Academy team, Jojopyun competed for Noble Esports and Zenith Esports, both for one-month stints in late 2000. He will now join EG’s LCS roster with a two-year contract.

EG is undergoing several roster changes after a third-place finish in the regular season and fifth in the LCS Championship. Jojopyun is expected to play alongside jungler Kacper “Inspired” Sloma, who is expected to join the team from Rogue, according to a report earlier this month by DOT Esports.
