Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe is undergoing treatment for acute gastroenteritis at a hospital, the club announced Thursday.

Mbappe, 26, will “undergo a series of tests and follow the appropriate course of treatment,” Real Madrid said.

The French international sat out Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw with Al Hilal on Wednesday in Club World Cup Group H play in Miami Gardens, Fla.

Per ESPN, Real Madrid said Mbappe sat out the match due to a fever.

Real Madrid has two matches remaining on their slate in the Club World Cup group stage. They will meet CF Pachuca (Mexico) on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C., and RB Salzburg (Austria) on June 26 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Mbappe collected 31 goals and three assists in 34 appearances last season with Real Madrid in La Liga play.
