Swedish offlaner Ludwig “zai” Wahlberg left Team Secret to join Team Liquid on Wednesday.

“Surprise! Please welcome @zai_2002 to the TL Family,” Team Liquid posted on Twitter.

The 24-year-old spent the last three years with Secret following previous stints with OpTic Gaming, The Dire and Evil Geniuses.

“I’d like to thank my teammates and coach for making these past 3 years some of the best years I’ve had playing DOTA,” zai wrote in a statement posted to Twitter. “I’ve not only learnt a lot from all the players on this squad, but I’ve also had a blast interacting with everyone day-to-day. We had some amazing games and tournament runs and I’m very proud of our accomplishments together.”

Last month, zai helped Secret finish in third place and take home $3.6 million at The International 2021.

“It is a sad moment, but I have to accept that all good things come to an end,” Secret captain Clement “Puppey” Ivanov posted on Twitter. “I have nothing but love for this man. Not only is he an amazing and persistent teammate, he is also a great friend.”

zai joins a Team Liquid lineup featuring captain Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi, Michael “miCKe” Vu, Maximilian “qojqva” Brocker, Samuel “Boxi” Svahn and Tommy “Taiga” Le.
