Team Falcons swept Team Liquid in the grand final on Friday to win the $1 million BetBoom Dacha Dubai event in the United Arab Emirates.
After rallying from a one-map deficit on Thursday to win the best-of-three upper-bracket final, Team Falcons made quick work of Team Liquid in the best-of-five grand final. Team Falcons recorded 43- and 48-minute wins on red and a 37-minute victory on green to pocket the $400,000 first-place prize.
Team Liquid advanced to the grand final after rallying to a 2-1 win over BetBoom Team in the lower-bracket final earlier Friday.
BetBoom Team notched an 80-minute marathon win on red to open the match before Team Liquid responded with a flourish. They posted 20- and 34-minute wins on green to advance to the grand final.
