Team Spirit and Team Liquid are the first two teams to punch their tickets to the playoffs at PGL Wallachia Season 6 thanks to their Round 3 victories on Monday in Bucharest, Romania.

Team Spirit blanked BetBoom Team 2-0 and Team Liquid did the same to OG in a pair of battles between 2-0 sides. The losing teams are not out of the running yet, as they’ll have up to two more chances to get the final win necessary to advance out of the group stage.

The group stage features a modified Swiss style of 16 teams competing in five rounds from Saturday through Wednesday. All matches are best-of-three. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs on Nov. 20-23 and the remaining eight are eliminated.

The playoffs use a double-elimination bracket with all matches best-of-three except for the grand final, which is best-of-five. The tournament has a $1 million prize pool, with a $300,000 first prize.

On Monday, Spirit prevailed in 44 minutes and 43 minutes on green against BetBoom. Denis “Larl” Sigitov of Russia amassed 19 kills and 35 assists across the two games for Spirit.

Team Liquid eased to a 37-minute win on green and a 21-minute win on red to beat OG. Michael “miCKe” Vu of Sweden had 22 kills, 22 assists and only two deaths in that time for Liquid.

Monday also saw the first two eliminations of the stage, as Yakult Brothers defeated Roar Gaming 2-1 and Nigma Galaxy swept Team Cobra 2-0 in the 0-2 matches.
