Dzhami “Jame” Ali, who joined Virtus.pro’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster in December 2019, signed a four-year contract extension with the organization.

The Armenia-based team did not announce financial details.

Jame, a 24-year-old from Russia, is the in-game leader and AWPer for Virtus.pro. CEO Nikolai Petrossian said keeping him on board was vital for the team.

“Jame is an exceptional player. There are very few captains with his understanding of the game, tactical thinking and level of individual skill in the professional scene,” Petrossian said in a news release. “He is the backbone of our roster, so renewing his contract was one of the most important tasks related to the CS:GO roster. I am sure that Dzhami will lead our club to many more victories!”

Jame said signing again was the right move for him.

“I have been with Virtus.pro for a very long time, the club has become a second home for me, so the decision to extend the contract was quite a simple one,” he said. “We have a great mutual understanding with the players, coaching staff and management, we all want to achieve victories and we are ready to work really hard for it.”
