Valve, the publisher of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, is tweaking its esport’s major schedule in 2025 and 2026.

Valve put out a request for proposals to organizers seeking bids on the 2025 and 2026 majors, HLTV reported Thursday.

There will still be two majors each year, but instead of taking place in May and November, they’ll be moved to June and December. That lands them between the end of the season and the start of summer and winter breaks.

The dates are:
–2025: June 9-22; Dec. 1-14
–2026: June 8-21; Nov. 30-Dec. 13

Paris hosted the first major of the season in May, won by Team Vitality, and there is no major scheduled for the second half of 2023. It is a pivotal moment for the esport, with the release of Counter-Strike 2 scheduled for this summer.

Other recent majors have been hosted in Rio de Janeiro, Stockholm, Berlin and Antwerp, Belgium.
