Nigma Galaxy, an Emirati esports organization, have confirmed they will back away from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition for the foreseeable future, according to a report Wednesday by Dexerto.com.
“The roster is free to explore other opportunities; for the time being we won’t be in CSGO,” Nigma Galaxy told Dexerto. “We love CSGO and will look into it in the future. We (would be) more than happy if the current CSGO roster finds a home where they will feel comfortable.”
That roster, a five-person Swedish lineup led by former Fnatic and NIP member Simon “twist” Eliasson, first hinted at the break on Oct. 20 when twist announced on Twitter that they were in the market for a new organization to represent.

Other members include Hugo “Chawzyyy” Gunther, Adam “dezon” Wahlqvist, Denis “grux” Gutaj and Niclas “PlesseN” Plessen. The squad, which is looking to stay together, is currently ranked 51st in the world by HLTV.org and recently posted a top-two finish in the Pinnacle Fall Series 2 Regionals and top-four finishes in open qualifiers for DreamHack Open November and IEM Winter.
While Nigma Galaxy have not publicly stated they will compete only in Valorant going forward, they currently field two Valorant teams — a men’s squad and a women’s team, both from the Philippines.
