The ESL FACEIT Group announced that eight teams will compete for a $123,000 prize pool at the ESL Impact Season 5 Global Finals.

The three-day event begins Friday as part of DreamHack Dallas at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Center in Dallas.

ESL Impact is an all-women’s Counter-Strike circuit launched in 2022.

“Since ESL Impact’s debut in 2022, we’re continuing to catalyze change and redraw the lines of gender disparity in esports through our dedicated ecosystem,” said Charlie Sirc, ESL Impact Product Manager. “Dallas marks the place where our journey with ESL Impact really took off, and we couldn’t be more excited to return here for another round of Global Finals.

“I really want women in the audience watching the games to feel inspired and believe that this could be them in a couple of years — because that’s what ESL Impact is all about.”

Twenty-eight teams took part in qualifying from the North America, Europe and South America regions, while the wildcard qualifiers for Asia took place earlier this month to determine the final eight teams.

Imperial fe, previously known as Team Pigeons and Nigma Galaxy, will attempt to win their seventh consecutive ESL Impact trophy.
