The Vancouver Surge and Atlanta FaZe each recorded a win on Sunday to remain on the heels of the unbeaten Los Angeles Thieves in the Call of Duty League Stage 2 Major qualifier.

The Surge posted a 3-1 victory over the Miami Heretics and FaZe notched a 3-2 triumph over the Boston Breach. Also Sunday, the Toronto Ultra breezed to a 3-0 win over OpTic Texas and the Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 swept the Vegas Falcons.

The Stage 2 Major qualifying round consists of 12 teams, with each playing seven qualifying matches through March 16 to determine seeding for the Stage 2 Major playoffs, slated for March 20-23 in Dallas.

On Sunday, Miami got off to a fast start with a 250-179 win on Protocol before Vancouver responded with a flourish. The Surge sandwiched 6-1 and 250-179 victories on Vault around a 3-2 triumph on Protocol.

Atlanta had a tougher time of it in its match versus Boston. FaZe notched a 250-183 win on Skyline before the Breach answered by wrapping 6-2 and 250-241 victories around a 3-1 setback — all on Hacienda. Atlanta captured the match with a 6-4 victory on Red Card.

The Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 secured their first win in impressive fashion. They posted a 250-215 victory on Skyline, a 6-5 triumph on Protocol and a 3-0 win on Hacienda.
