CALLOFDUTY: Miami Heretics unblemished in CDL Stage 4 Major qualifying

The Miami Heretics remained the only unbeaten team at 5-0 with a sweep of the Carolina Royal Ravens on Saturday in Call of Duty League’s Stage 4 Major qualifying.

Other winners were Atlanta FaZe, the Los Angeles Thieves and the Vancouver Surge.

The Stage 4 Major qualifying round has the league’s 12 teams playing five matches apiece through Sunday to determine seeding for the Stage 4 Major playoffs, slated for May 23-25 in Dallas.

The second-place Atlanta FaZe routed the last-place Vegas Falcons, 250-113 on Red Card Hardpoint, 6-3 on Rewind Search & Destroy and 3-1 on Hacienda Control.

The Los Angeles Thieves swept Cloud9 New York, winning 250-205 on Rewind Hardpoint, 6-5 on Rewind Search & Destroy and 3-0 on Vault Control.

The Miami Heretics notched three straight maps in downing the Carolina Royal Ravens, winning 250-133 on Skyline Hardpoint, 6-5 on Red Card Search & Destroy and 3-0 on Hacienda Control.

The Vancouver Surge rallied after dropping the first map in a tight battle, 250-247 to Toronto Ultra on Red Card Hardpoint. The Surge captured the next three maps: 6-5 on Rewind Search & Destroy, 3-1 on Protocol Control and 250-116 on Hacienda Hardpoint.
