The Boston Breach have officially been revealed as the Call of Duty League’s 12th team for the 2022 season.

Oxygen Esports will operate the team after announcing last month that it has teamed up with Boston Uprising LLC.

The lineup was also revealed Thursday, led by CDL veterans Anthony “Methodz” Zinni and Thomas “TJHaly” Haly. Methodz spend the past two seasons with the Toronto Ultra while TJHaLy was with OpTic Gaming Los Angeles in 2020 and the L.A. Thieves last year.

They will be joined by Dylan “Nero” Kock, who played for the Los Angeles Guerrillas’ academy team, and CDL newcomer “Capsidal.” Both spent the Cold War season competing in the Challengers scene, with Capsidal finishing second in the first North American Challengers Cup last month.

The 12th and final spot in the Call of Duty League became available when OpTic Gaming and Team Envy merged in November, resulting in the creation of OpTic Texas. At the time, the Team Envy-owned Dallas Empire was dissolved.

Methodz and TJHaly were tied to rumors of a Washington team taking over the spot, but the Washington negotiations fell apart. The Kraft Group then announced in December that it had partnered with OXG along with the launching of a $20 million capital raise.

OXG is establishing its headquarters and operations at the Uprising’s current training site at Patriot Place in Foxborough, Mass., adjacent to Gillette Stadium.

The roster is set to make its debut against the New York Subliners at the CDL Kickoff Classic on Jan. 21.
