Felix Auger-Aliassime withdrew from this week’s Moselle Open in Metz, France, on Monday, citing a left knee injury.

The 25-year-old Canadian lost to World No. 1 Jannik Sinner in Sunday’s final at the Rolex Paris Masters, 6-4, 7-6 (4).

With that performance, he moved into the eighth and final spot for the Nitto ATP Finals that begin on Sunday in Turin, Italy.

If ninth-place Lorenzo Musetti wins the title at this week’s other ATP 250 event in Athens, he would overtake Auger-Aliassime and join fellow Italian Sinner in Turin.

Auger-Aliassime is 48-22 this season with three singles titles, including last month’s European Open in Belgium. He reached the semifinals of the U.S. Open.
